President-Elect: one-year term, then steps into President This is the leadership track of the chapter. You'll spend a year learning alongside our current President: helping run board meetings, shaping strategy, and stepping in to lead when the President is away. At the end of the term you'll automatically move into the President role, and then serve a final year as Immediate Past President. It's a three-year journey, and it's the single most important way we keep Utah HIMSS strong and connected to HIMSS national for years to come.

Treasurer: two-year term Our financial steward. The Treasurer keeps the chapter's finances healthy and transparent: managing funds, tracking the budget, and reporting to the board, the membership, and HIMSS national. A great fit if you like keeping things organized and you're comfortable with numbers.
- Manage chapter funds, accounts, and deposits
- Track the annual budget and prepare financial reports
- Report finances to the board, members, and HIMSS
Secretary: two-year term The keeper of the record. The Secretary captures what happens at our meetings, makes sure everyone gets proper notice, maintains chapter records, and keeps our membership roster accurate. Ideal for someone detail-oriented and dependable.

- Send meeting notices and safeguard chapter records
- Keep an accurate membership census
Board Member: Director over Membership (Member-at-Large): two-year term The engine of the chapter. Members-at-Large bring ideas, energy, and hands-on help to our strategic pillars: membership. You'll have a real vote in chapter decisions and a real hand in the events and initiatives that serve Utah's Health IT community.

Board Member: Director over Communications (Member-at-Large): two-year term The engine of the chapter. Members-at-Large bring ideas, energy, and hands-on help to our strategic pillars: communications and marketing. You'll have a real vote in chapter decisions and a real hand in the events and initiatives that serve Utah's Health IT community.

Board Member: Director over Events & Programs (Member-at-Large): two-year term The engine of the chapter. Members-at-Large bring ideas, energy, and hands-on help to our strategic pillars: programming and events. You'll have a real vote in chapter decisions and a real hand in the events and initiatives that serve Utah's Health IT community.

Communications and Event Support Interns (2 positions): one-year term, flexible New this year! These roles give students and early-career professionals an insider's look at how a professional Health IT organization runs. You'll work alongside the board on real projects especially around event support, communications, membership, programming and build your network and resume along the way. No prior board experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to dig in. You specifically would support the communications director and the communication & events director to work with them on big strategic initiatives (high visibility)

A quick note on eligibility: Nominations are open to active members of the Utah HIMSS chapter. To serve as an officer (President-Elect, Treasurer, Secretary) or board member, you'll need to be a Regular Member (or Member Emeritus) in good standing who has belonged to HIMSS or a HIMSS chapter for at least one year, and a HIMSS national member in good standing. Intern positions are open to all active chapter members and especially welcome students and early-career professionals.
