Current Students - We Want You!
The Utah Chapter of HIMSS is committed to helping all of its student members in identifying and obtaining internship and employment opportunities. Most of the internships are exclusively for current students. Check the HIMSS Job Mine if you are looking for full-time or other employment opportunities. Internships listed in the clearinghouse may vary in length, compensation, and location, but offer tremendous value and experience.
Healthcare Organizations - We Want to Feature your HIT/HIM Internships
UHIMSS seeks to assist in helping our partner organizations bridge the health IT workforce gap for meeting the need for industry specific educated, trained, and experienced health information leaders and professionals. Our chapter student membership provides a talent pool of talented highly-motivated students who want to break into the healthcare field. These internship experiences can help your organization field-test a student to see if they might provide a long-term fit for your needs.
The purpose of this partnership is designed to bring together internship opportunities for UHIMSS students to achieve these goals:
-
Help build the HIT workforce needed to achieve meaningful use of electronic health records and other emerging technology tools;
-
Expand opportunities for students interested in HIT/HIM to obtain internships, jobs and build a network to advance their HIT careers; and
-
Connect health organizations to qualified students who may help them to advance HIT initiatives.
